In recognition of the fact that the countries of North America are so large, we haveset up a new e-mail reflector especially for these countries where methods of setting upSOTA can be discussed. An international discussion group for other countries is available- see "Activity Alerts" below.

Submitting Logs

Logs for summits activations and chaser contacts for inclusion in the internationalactivator and chaser tables should be sent to as soon as possible after the activation. A suitable MS Excel log sheet can be found atthe SOTA refelctor web site.

Publicising SOTA

We want SOTA to be a success and hope that you do too. To help thisprocess, we suggest the following tips:

bullet Even if you only intend operating on CW, think about taking a 2m handy along for the ride as it is far easier to publicise the award on phone. Mention the award and web site (www.sota.org.uk) in any contacts that you make.
bullet Ask your radio club to add a link to this page.
bullet Chasers who have access to the DXCluster are invited to spot SOTA stations and in the comment field to include the SOTA web site address along with the summit reference.

Activators should also be prepared to explain what they are doing to non-amateurs thatthey meet on the hills - we hope that SOTA will intrigue and encourage newpeople into this hobby.
