Awards

Of course we climb mountains for fun, but it is always nice when someone recognises ourefforts, hence the SOTA Awards programme. Certificates are available for Chasers andActivators who achieve 100, 250 and 500 points. These handsome certificates are printed incolour and are personally signed by a member of the SOTA Management Team. Each one isindividually numbers and printed with your own callsign. The certificates are posted toyou in a board-backed envelope to ensure that they arrive in good shape.

Chasers and Activators who achieve 1,000 points are eligible for the Shack Sloth awardand Mountain Goat awards respectively. These awards will represent a supreme effort forboth Chasers and Activators and so they will be something rather special! Anyone reaching1,000 points can opt to receive a standard certificate if they do not wish to have thefull awards.

All certificates and awards are provided on a "not for profit" basis by theSOTA Management team.

Claiming ...

Awards are not sent automatically - you must claim them! To claim your certificates, UKActivators and Chasers should send a cheque for ?1.50 (made out to John Linford) to JohnLinford, Pennine View, Sleagill, Penrith, Cumbria. Claims should state which award you areclaiming and, if you do not send entries in to the World Activator and Chaser Tables, mustinclude a log sheet listing all your qualifying contacts.

Overseas claimants should directlybefore claiming to check on payment methods and postage charges.

Pricing for the Shack Sloth and Mountain Goat, 1,000 point awards has yet to bedecided.
